Regional Development Australia Far West

Regional Development Australia Far West (RDA Far West) committee members are local people developing local solutions to local issues.

They build partnerships to develop strategies and deliver sustainable infrastructure and services to our regions.

A key focus of Regional Development Australia Far West is on the economic, social and environmental issues affecting our communities. Regional Development Australia Far West are an important contributor to, and driver of:

  • Regional business growth plans and strategies, which will help support economic development, the creation of new jobs, skills development and business investment.

  • Environmental solutions, which will support ongoing sustainability and the management of climate change (including the impact of drought, flood or bushfires), and

  • Social inclusion strategies, which will bring together and support all members of the community.

Regional Development Australia Far West, in consultation with the community, businesses, non-profit organisations and all levels of government, articulate local priorities, identify and align resources, engage stakeholders and promote solutions. In doing this, Regional Development Australia Far West support the growth and development of our region.

Far West Excellence in Business Awards Team

With a firm belief that local businesses are the backbone of the economy RDA Far West established the Far West Excellence in Business awards in 2014. The Awards are the region's premier business event, they showcase the outstanding qualities of business in the region and provide the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding success, innovation and commitment of local business.

Events such as the Awards are only possible with the ongoing support and commitment from our sponsors, some of whom have supported the Awards since inception in 2014.

A word from our judging panel

Nathan_Axelsson_1395_edited.jpg

Regional Development Australia Northern Inland have had the privilege of judging the self-nomination categories of the Far West Excellence in Business Awards since 2014.

Over the years we have noticed significant growth in the quality and quantity of nominations.

Each year we carefully assemble a panel of industry experts from our region to undertake the judging process. We know it's important to ensure the panel judge each nomination on the information provided in the nomination. As such we ensure the panel bring specific industry expertise and are not familiar with the businesses in Far West NSW.

I assure you our panel of experts are not familiar with your business, we will not use our discretion when judging, we cannot consider your reputation in the community or the value of your support of local sports or groups if you don't tell us - because we don't know your business or your community.

We judge every nomination purely on the information you provide, without knowing your business or your community, we love pictures, testimonials, feedback etc that support your story and help us build a picture of the business you run or the value of your team.
